  1. Xan Burnard- The French revolution impacted our lives today by napoleon creating a better democracy, and showing the countries how well they could do if they became more democratic. another impact was the reign of terror, countries started to fear their citizens because they new if they made the same mistakes as the French, they would be in the same boat.

  4. i think that the french revolution has made us better in a way. i think that napoleon made changes that made people realize things were wrong and that made them want to have a better understanding. in a way it made people smarter.if it was not for the french revolution than maybe we would not have the schooling we do, or we would not look at life and people being equal in the way we do. 7. from studying the french revolution for 1 1/2 months it has showed things that still impact are lives this day and age. like how people still fight for there rights and stand up for what we believe in like Napoleon did. we also still use some of the same military techniques which is fascinating to me. 8. During the French Revolution, Napoleon introduced the 3 ideals of equality, liberty and fraternity. Without these three ideals in our modern lives, people may have been still fighting for them or given up on fighting for them and the world may have been chaotic. Equality, liberty and fraternity has taught most people how to treat people fairly, has given people the freedom to live there lives how they want to, under some restrictions and fraternity has showed people that you can lean on one another and support each other through the things that you love. The French Revolution has impacted our lives in many other ways besides introducing the three ideals, without the French Revolution we may not have had the schools, banks and churches we have today ! - Erin kobelka

  9. The French Revolution had a large impact on creating a new advanced France and impacting our lives even to this day. The revolution lead to improving the 3 ideals and even though how tragic all the lives lost were, was essential in making a much needed change. Because of the revolution and rise of Napoleon, one of the results were much more equality within the men in France and bettering the old regime between the three estates. It made people realize the importance of fraternity, liberty and equality which beginning with the revolution has grown over time and transferred into things we still see this day in age. The revolution had such an impact that it has impacted even our own lives.-KM

  11. The French Revolution impacted us today quite a bit. Politically some of the ways and ideas of Napoleon are used today in modern politics, not entirely and not exactly but Napoleon shaped politics for the future. Some of the war techniques Napoleon used are still used today. the french revolution brought out the idea of Equality, Liberty, and Fraternity. these things have stuck with us for a while and in our modern world many people still push for equality and even liberty.-Gavin Meikle

  14. Learning about the French Revolution I learned the different aspects it brought into our lives today. During the French Revolution the traits of fraternity, liberty and equality were brought in. If we didn't have these aspects our world would not be a good because there would be unfairly treated people, no trust or common friendship between colonies, as well as the freedom to have your own choices.- Meadow Nordell

  15. I think that the French Revolution impacts us a lot in our everyday lives whether we notice it or not. If it wasn't for Napoleon we could still believe that women are less important that men which sure as heck isn't true. -Bodi :)

  16. In my opinion, the French Revolution was one of the most important revolutions of all time. One of these reasons is that it lessened the importance of religion. This allowed for new ideas of secularism to truly advance. Secularism is critical to a nation if it wishes to improve its conditions. Religion, although important, often kills creativity if it has too much power. This can be proven even in the context of our world today. Highly religious countries like Bangladesh struggle and have few people who have made meaningful contributions to things like science and technology whereas a secular nation like the United States gives us many advances in society all the time. The french revolution opened the gates of secularism's garden to the world in a meaningful way and allowed for many great things to happen.

  17. in my option it helped with our modern day nationalism, liberalism too. As bad as it was and how many lives were lost it also helped with our freedom of religion. it also unify Germany and break apart of the Austrian empire. -db
