  3. Xan Burnard-A countries farming practice can say how modern a countries technology is, or how wealthy that country is. Farming is the backbone of a country means that a country requires farming for a lot of things. such as feeding everyone in the country, or exporting for an industry to support the citizens.

  4. A countries farming practice I think represents how technologically advanced a country is. I think the statement 'Farming is the backbone' means that the country relies heavily on its agriculture. - Erin Kobelka

  5. To me that means that country has relied heavily on their agriculture for their resources for a very long time. How they farm can also tell you how good their land is and the conditions of their soil along with climate for their area. It means it is tradition for them to farm and be farmers and that generations of kids grow up on farms and they are passed down through the family. It also says that without farming that country would be in trouble for how they will produce all the things they are through farming. Its very natural for them to be a farmer when they grow up and have lots of land.-KM

  6. Agriculture can tell a lot about a country, not only by how much area is farmed but by the technology used to farm it. say if a country uses the highest tech and the largest equipment they probably have a very large farming industry, but some countries are still using very old methods of farming with manual labor and animals. the backbone of a country is farming because that is what feeds the country and is one of the largest industries in a country; farmers feed the world.

  7. Many counties rely on there agricultural resources so when countries have worse farming practices they often do not have as much wealth among the country. Meaning that countries with good farming practices tend to have more weath. as well as farming provides a great source of food for countries so places without a good farming backbone dont rely on having a grain and meat based diet. -meadow

  8. it can show how much food they have and consume. when farming is the backbone of the country it means they could have a lot of food and have a lot of machinery for farming.

  9. when a country has a not very industrialized agriculture field that country also tends to have many other internal problems such as, high unemployment rates or starvation. Also if you compare it to Canada we have a lot of food at our disposal and unemployment is lower then other places. when farming is said to be the backbone of a country it means that with lots of farming that country now has more food to feed the population and ship to other places to gain more money for the wealth of the country.

  10. I think the farms can show how much land a place has. In Canada we have really big farms because we have lots of land, but other places have lots of small farms because, they don't have the space to have big farms.

  12. Q:What can a country's farming practice say about a country? When you hear that farming is the backbone of a country, what does that mean?
A: A country's farms say a lot about a country. Firstly, farms that are well equipped with technology produce higher quality goods and with much more efficiency. This makes the food cheaper and better. This is what its like in countries like Canada. In countries where agriculture is bad, the food produced is lower in quality and less is produced. Secondly, farming is an economic backbone of a country as it is an industry where lots of money is created and its also a huge industry. Every country that has a good farming industry has many farms and lots of land used for that purpose. It is a huge industry.

  13. Farming is an important industry and it can tell a lot about the economical situation of a country. Developing countries have under developed equipment and do most labor is done by hand, whereas in places like in Canada we have large scale farms which require more advanced machinery. Farming is the backbone of country simply means that farming is what keeps things going and what keeps people fed. Martina

  14. I feel like the backbone is what they stared as years ago, now we have a whole lot more equipment so we dont have to use manual tools. In some country's although we here in Canada have new and more revolutionized equipment other country's like, Mexico, Africa, Asia, India, Europe. They maybe have not quite changed their equipment because they are poor and have little money. Because of this countries like Mexico, Africa, Asia, India, Europe have smaller life expediencies because they dont have the resources that we have. Kovan

  16. when a country says that farming is the backbone of a country it means that they rely very heavily on the agriculture, it could mean they only eat the food they make or that the crops they grow makes most of their money. the farming of a country can say a lot, because most countries do rely somewhat on their agriculture. in western Canada we rely quite a bit on farming and it makes us who we are. 18. farming can say a lot about the country by its wealth, weather and the equipment they use. farming in Canada is a lot different compared to a place like china or Africa. Canada is a very wealth country and you can see that just by are farming practices we use. we have modern practices that leads us to have very high tech equipment but in places like china that still us old fashioned ox and pulls and do most things by hand. and china isn't a very wealth country's so they can afford having modern equipment. bf
