Which is more important in order for a society to succeed - individual freedom or societal order? Can you think of times that freedom is important to have and a time when order is important? How can an organization or society determine the balance?

Was the French Revolution Worth it?
The French Revolution lasted close to three decades, if you consider civil and international conflicts and the flare ups that occurred. During that time, a lot of people died in the name of "Liberte, equalite, et fraternite". Was the end result worth the violence? Explain briefly.

Standard of Living
We did some comparisons between 18th Century Europe and Modern Canada and their standard of living. Standard of Living is the level of comfort and wealth available &/or expected of a certain socio-economic group or geographic region.
